Wigan Athletic<\/a> manager Roberto Martinez<\/a> is refusing to rule out a return to the club for Mauro Boselli<\/a> after he spent the second half of the season on loan at Genoa<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Boselli was the club\u2019s marquee signing last summer, arriving from Estudiantes for \u00a36 million but he failed to make a major impact in the early months of the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

The striker scored just one goal in 12 appearances before being sent out on loan to Serie A club Genoa in January where he found the going a little easier, scoring two goals in seven games.<\/span><\/p>\n

Martinez has admitted that he wants to sit down and talk with the striker to try and find out what might be best for both parties.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told Sky Sports:<\/em> “Mauro is back from Genoa and he needs a rest first of all.<\/span><\/p>\n

“He is a proven goalscorer, though, and that will never change. They are the hardest players to find.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We’ll sit down with him and find out how he found his time in Italy.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Then we’ll work out what the next step will be for all parties.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
