Swansea<\/a> have had a club record \u00a33.5 million bid for Watford<\/a> striker Danny Graham<\/a> accepted by the Hertfordshire club.<\/p>\n

The former Middlesbrough man was the Championship\u2019s top scorer last season, with a total of 24 league goals, and interest in the striker has been high, with the Hornets having rejected a \u00a32.5m offer from QPR in May.<\/p>\n

The Vicarage Road side have confirmed via their official website that they are prepared to part with their striker after just two seasons, giving Graham permission to speak to Swansea.<\/p>\n

Graham has already had a taste of the Premier League with his first club Middlesbrough, grabbing his first goal against Charlton at the Riverside, and he had stated that he would only leave Watford for a Premier League club.<\/p>\n

“I’m contracted to Watford, I love it here, but I’m not going to lie or kid anyone, I want to play at the top level,” Graham said.<\/p>\n

“I want to be a Premiership player, I’m not going to hide the fact, but we’ll see what happens.”<\/p>\n

The highest fee Swansea have ever paid for a player is \u00a31m for Scott Sinclair from Chelsea 2010.<\/p>\n

Sinclair went on to play a pivotal part in the club’s promotion charge, capping a fine season with a hat-trick in the play-off final victory over Reading.<\/p>\n
