{"id":435831,"date":"2011-06-03T13:58:32","date_gmt":"2011-06-03T13:58:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/06\/03\/draft-taxation-laws-issued-for-public-comment\/"},"modified":"2011-06-03T13:58:32","modified_gmt":"2011-06-03T13:58:32","slug":"draft-taxation-laws-issued-for-public-comment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/06\/03\/draft-taxation-laws-issued-for-public-comment\/","title":{"rendered":"Draft Taxation Laws Issued for Public Comment"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"30.390264977\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.buanews.gov.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BuaNews<\/a> (Tshwane)<\/p>\n<p>3 June 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Pretoria \u2014 National Treasury has released for public comment a draft of the 2011 Taxation Laws Amendment Bills (TLAB), which includes a personal income tax relief.<\/p>\n<p>The draft was released on Thursday, which gives effect to the budget review tax proposals that were announced in the Budget in February.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The TLAB includes most, but not all the 2011 Budget proposals, as some proposals require further work or consultation; the taxation of gambling winnings and contributions to retirement funds are thus not included. These outstanding matters will be covered by separate legislation in the form of a second set of bills,&#8221; said Treasury.<\/p>\n<p>The draft TLAB is published for public comment before formal introduction in Parliament.
