After the palaver surrounding Cheryl Cole\u2019s Geordie twang not being understood in America, Kelly Rowland now apparently can\u2019t understand England\u2019s regional accents.<\/p>\n

The former Destiny\u2019s Child singer reportedly had trouble understanding the Brummie accent at the Birmingham X Factor auditions this week.<\/p>\n

The American star is said to not have realised how many variants there are in the English language.<\/p>\n

Her confusion comes after months of debate over whether Kelly\u2019s predecessor, Cheryl Cole, who has a strong Newcastle accent, would be recognisable to American audiences in the US X Factor.<\/p>\n

Cheryl\u2019s accent debacle was put to rest last week though when the decision was made that she would no longer be a judge in the US version of the talent show.<\/p>\n

But after reportedly being devastated following her axing from the show, yesterday the Girls Aloud star said she was finally moving on, according to The Sun.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old apparently told current judges Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow that she is over it.<\/p>\n

The Take That star Gary told the tabloid yesterday: \u2018I think she has turned a corner now. I would say she is going places.<\/p>\n

\u2018She\u2019s an ambitious girl and she\u2019ll get over this, no questions.\u2019<\/p>\n

Louis, 58, added: \u2018She\u2019s fine. There\u2019s no bitterness there, not with me anyway.\u2019<\/p>\n

And Miss Cole seems to be supporting Tulisa despite being dumped by the show and reportedly sent her a huge bouquet of flowers on her first day.<\/p>\n

A source told the Daily Mirror: \u2018They arrived at the hotel the morning of the first auditions, with a message saying: \u2018Good luck with your first X Factor experience. Love Cheryl xx\u2019.<\/p>\n

Apparently the N-Dubz star thought it was sweet and tweeted yesterday: \u2018Amazing day at the xfactor, I want 2 thank every1 4 the support!\u2019<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, although Kelly might be having trouble understanding some of the contestants, she is making waves with her style sense.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old looked stunning yesterday in a floor-length Diane von Furstenberg dress.<\/p>\n

Kelly and fellow judge Tulisa dazzled and divided fans on day one of the X Factor auditions with their bold style statements.<\/p>\n

N-Dubz star Tulisa was first to emerge from the judges’ Birmingham hotel, in a mini-dress with a neon pink print and matching heels.<\/p>\n

The dress, by Olivia Rubin from her S\/S 2011 collection, featured an asymmetrical hemline and peekaboo neckline trimmed in pink.<\/p>\n

The clingy fabric showed off the 22-year-old’s slim figure and long legs.<\/p>\n

Kelly also chose a print look with a floaty maxi dress. The tan and black print matched her handbag and wedge heels.<\/p>\n

Both women wore their dark hair long and poker straight for the second round of auditions, and Kelly added enormous silver hoop earrings.<\/p>\n

Tulisa appears to be settling in to her new role well. She tweeted last night: ‘Thanks 4 making me feel at home! Lots of love T. X’<\/p>\n

Gary, 40, spoke out on former judge Cheryl Cole yesterday, telling reporters: ‘\u2018I\u2019m sad that she\u2019s gone, but do you know what, she will move on to something else.<\/p>\n

\u2018I know Cheryl quite well and she is an ambitious girl, she\u2019s very together and she\u2019ll get over this no question.\u2019<\/p>\n

But Miss Contostavlos seemed less keen to discuss her predecessor, saying: \u2018The Cheryl thing is a mystery to me.\u2019<\/p>\n
