ABUJA-THERE are strong indications that zonal and state chapters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are poised for a war with the national leadership of the party, following the non-remittance of N1.2 billion due them from the N6.2 billion realised from last year\u2019s sales of nomination forms.<\/p>\n

It was gathered yesterday that these chapters have waited patiently to hear from the national secretariat of the party\u00a0 eight months after the completion of the sale of nomination forms which fetched it N6.2 billion.<\/p>\n

The money was realized from the sale of forms for presidential, governorship, National Assembly as well as state Assembly aspirants on the platform of the party, and the balance on the bank account of the party stood at N6.5billion.<\/p>\n

A source who spoke with Vanguard, said some states might have got part of the money, while waiting for the balance, adding that majority of the states were still waiting.<\/p>\n

Others who spoke on condition of anonymity yesterday, alleged that the leadership of the party was playing hide and seek over the payment of what legitimately belong to them.<\/p>\n

According to Part VI, (55) of the Electoral guidelines for primary Elections 2010 of PDP, \u201c15 percent of the nomination fee shall be remitted to the state chapters of the party<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
