It was the moment when Lord Sugar really flexed his business muscles, surprisingly telling two Apprentice hopefuls they were fired.<\/p>\n

Both Ellie Reed and Vincent Disneur were axed from the show in a shock double sacking at the end of Wednesday’s episode of the hit series.<\/p>\n

And last night Miss Reed claimed Mr Disneur was only axed because of his \u2018smug face\u2019 when she was fired from the show.<\/p>\n

Both out: It was a double eviction on The Apprentice with Vincent Disneur and Ellie Reed getting the boot\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It appeared that Lord Sugar was only firing one contestant when he showed Miss Reed \u2013 from Bradford, West Yorkshire – the door.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, Mr Disneur \u2013 a Belgian sales manager and part-time model based in Canterbury, Kent \u2013 was then axed as well after appearing to smirk at his rival\u2019s demise.<\/p>\n

Miss Reed told the Mail she was disconsolate at being fired from the show until Mr Disneur was then axed as well.<\/p>\n

And managing director Miss Reed said that she believed that Lord Sugar only decided to fire the smooth-talking salesman because of his \u2018smug\u2019 attitude to her axing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"No<\/p>\n

No smirking at other’s expense: Lord Sugar had no time for Vincent’s attitude so he followed his rival out of the door, into a taxi and off the show<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She explained: \u2018I think he [Disneur] was pleased that I was being fired then I think Lord Sugar decided I\u2019m not going to let you get away with that \u2013 and fired him too.<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t think he [Lord Sugar] had decided to do double firing before that. I think he did it on the spur of the moment.\u2019<\/p>\n

Miss Reed, 33, went on: \u2018I was pretty gutted but obviously when I found out Vince had been fired – I was pleased because of his smug face when I got fired.<\/p>\n

\u2018I wish it had just been Vince. I think in the situation I was one of the people who had been more successful in business and didn’t get a chance to shine. I felt it was pretty gutting.<\/p>\n

\u2018I was a bit gutted it was not just him on his own.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think it’s a shame that he didn’t just fire Vince and let me stay another week.\u2019<\/p>\n

Miss Reed also told how she disliked Mr Disneur, 29, throughout their time together on the programme, citing his vanity.<\/p>\n

\"Vain:<\/p>\n

Vain: Bradford-born Ellie said she’d disliked part-time model Vincent from the start<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She explained:\u00a0 \u2018He was the person I didn\u2019t get on with the most. He\u2019s completely different to me. He\u2019s vain \u2013 and he does fancy himself without a doubt.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think he respected me or my opinions. He just didn\u2019t think I was capable enough.<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s because I was a woman or just not the sort of woman he normally knows.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m not somebody who was charmed by him at all. I was totally not his cup of tea. I think he thinks he\u2019s a charmer and he\u2019s not.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I think me and Vince are the most different people in there. I’ve never met anyone like Vince. We were complete opposites. He\u2019s just not my sort of person.\u2019<\/p>\n

\"Three<\/p>\n

Three become one: Lord Sugar showed no mercy in his double eviction – he certainly didn’t pussyfoot around<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"Not<\/p>\n

Not purrfect: Vincent and Ellie saw their pet project be the tail-end of their possible career with Lord Sugar<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Disneur, as project manager, had earlier led his team \u2013 including Miss Reed \u2013 to defeat in an advertising task after they tried to market a dog food called Every Dog despite being advised by a vet that you cannot feed all dogs the same food.<\/p>\n

Mr Disneur then chose to take Reed and fellow contestant Natasha Scribbins into the boardroom to face the wrath of Lord Sugar, despite Jim Eastwood having been the prime mover in the debacle.<\/p>\n

Having explained that Miss Reed had not been \u2018forceful\u2019 enough and Mr Disneur had led a \u2018real mess,\u2019 Sugar said: \u2018I haven\u2019t seen much of you Ellie and I don\u2019t think I could go into business with you, so I\u2019m going to tell you that \u2013 You\u2019re Fired!\u2019<\/p>\n

Lord Sugar then, surprisingly, turned to Mr Disneur, and accused him of taking the wrong people into the boardroom.<\/p>\n

\"Just<\/p>\n

Just ruff: The team had been told that not every dog could be fed the same food but they carried on regardless<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"Cat's<\/p>\n

\n

Cat’s whiskers: Ellie and Vincent’s rival team had better luck with their feline fortunes<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Doggone: But it was taxi time for Ellie and Vincent after they made a dog’s dinner of their pet food task<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He said: \u2018I\u2019ve got the feeling that you are too in awe of other people and that you are playing a bit of a risky game in strategizing by bringing the wrong people in here, so I think a message needs to go back that, Vincent – You\u2019re Also Fired.\u2019<\/p>\n

Floppy-haired Mr Disneur \u2013 who had previously described himself as \u2018smart, vivacous, ambitious, competitive, passionate and an occasional show-off\u2019 – last night admitted he too thought he had survived after Miss Reed was fired.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said: \u2018The hair [Mr Disneur\u2019s] flung back and I thought I would be OK. I thought he was going to send us back to the house, have a go at me and say \u2018pick it up\u2019 and go from there, but he made the decision to fire me as well.\u2019<\/p>\n

Miss Reed and Mr Disneur became the fifth and sixth contestants to be axed from this year\u2019s series, which has been attracting audiences of as much as eight million viewers per episode.<\/p>\n
