The Proposed project will develop systems and response mechanisms to strengthen the integration of climate change risks into the health sector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties:<br \/><\/strong>The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan the activities of the project and monitor progress against the initial quality criteria<\/li>\n<li>Technical oversight for all project activities, ensuring activities and their outputs are technically robust, both in terms of climate change and health issues<\/li>\n<li>Act as a focal point for issues relating to the relationship between climate change and health, thereby ensuring that the project deliverables are cutting edge<\/li>\n<li>Mobilize goods and services to initiative activities including drafting TORs and work specifications;<\/li>\n<li>Working experience at district level especially in the health sector is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> In accordance with UN Guidelines<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div readability=\"9\">\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An Advanced degree in, environmental\/social\/health science or relevant field with at least 7 years of proven professional experience. Excellent knowledge of climate change and adaptation and experience of working at the policy level<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated track record of project management; Excellent skills in standard software (Word processing, spreadsheets) Experience in the development\/implementation of donor funded projects is an asset and knowledge and experience of the health sector would be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in both oral and written English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<br \/><\/strong>The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and experience in working in policy development and capacity building<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge\/experience in results based management and results oriented approach to project implementation<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, networking and team building skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, with analytic capacity and the ability to synthesise project outcomes and relevant findings into quality papers and reports, intended for a range of different audiences;<\/li>\n<li>Shares knowledge and experience actively, mentors project staff<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to produce high quality communication and outreach materials to inform stakeholders and project partners;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div readability=\"12.5647321429\">\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Qualified candidates are requested to send their application marked\u00a0<strong>\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/joblistghana.com\/tag\/project-manager\" rel=\"tag\" title=\"Posts tagged with project manager\">Project Manager<\/a>\u201d<\/strong> respectively with supporting resume including telephone numbers and email address to the address below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Human Resource Unit<br \/>U.N.D.P Office<br \/>(Next to the Ghana National Fires Service Hqtrs)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
