The smile on her face says it all.<\/p>\n

Kate Silverton proudly showed off her ‘miracle’ baby bump in a tight-fitting dress on BBC Breakfast this morning.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old presenter recently revealed she is expecting her first child after years of heartache and struggle.<\/p>\n

Kate looked chic in the coffee-coloured Sienna Dusk dress by Tiffany Rose which had satin bow tied above her growing bump.<\/p>\n

And as many of her fans noted, the journalist was simply glowing, despite her eye-watering three o’clock alarm five months into her pregnancy – being accustomed to early rises will certainly stand the mother-to-be in good stead.<\/p>\n

Presenting on the sofa this morning with Bill Turnbull, Kate tenderly touched her bump as she chatted to her co-anchor and guests, the joy of impending motherhood obvious.<\/p>\n

After the show Silverton thanked followers on Twitter for their kind words, after fans told her she was glowing.<\/p>\n

She also hinted that she is still adjusting to her changing figure, telling one follower: that she is ‘feeling a little rotund if I am honest – and only half way!’<\/p>\n

Miss Silverton, who married security expert Mike Heron in December, has admitted she is ‘unable to think beyond the next few days.\u2019<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019ve not yet been able to relax and enjoy myself 100 per cent,’ she told the Daily Mail earlier this month. ‘As any mother-to-be will know it is an incredibly vulnerable and precarious time.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I would not have revealed it publicly except people had begun asking questions and it\u2019s obvious I have gained weight, especially on screen.’<\/p>\n

Her trepidation is understandable, given the couple’s gruelling journey to conceiving. Kate fell pregnant naturally after trying – and failing- to conceive throughout four punishing rounds of IVF.<\/p>\n

When Silverton finally discovered she had finally succeeded – naturally – she didn’t dare to believe it.<\/p>\n

She revealed to the Mail: \u2018I\u2019d had some symptoms that I now recognise as early pregnancy signs \u2013 a craving for bacon sandwiches, a swollen tummy and two rather short \u201ccycles\u201d \u2013 but I assumed it was the onset of an early menopause.<\/p>\n

‘When I saw a second blue line appear on the test I couldn\u2019t believe it. I had to do another before I even entertained the idea that I might be pregnant.\u2019<\/p>\n

Kate\u2019s chances of becoming pregnant, even with the highest doses of IVF drugs, had been placed at between three and five per cent.<\/p>\n

At 29 she had lost an ovary during a life-saving emergency operation, and she did not begin her first round of IVF until she met Mike aged 37.<\/p>\n

\u2018I went to see my GP to register the pregnancy. It was the first time I had visited him as we had only recently moved into the area. He took one look at my records and advised me that given my \u201chistory\u201d and my age, the positive result could also quite possibly be due to a pregnancy hormone-producing tumour that was mimicking a pregnancy.<\/p>\n

But when she went to see a specialist, her fears turned to joy: ‘My parents had come with me to the surgery fearing the worst \u2013 now I called them in to see their grandchild \u2013 in its earliest stages \u2013 but alive and most certainly viable.<\/p>\n

‘Professor Campbell turned on the Doppler, the instrument that picks up the heartbeat, and the sound was something I will never forget.\u2019<\/p>\n
