It\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/stylenews.peoplestylewatch.com\/2011\/05\/26\/kim-kardashians-engagement-ring\/\">so big<\/a>, in fact, that husband-to-be Kris Humphries was able to include several inscriptions on the inside of the sparkler. \u201cIt\u2019s engraved, with two things from the Bible,\u201d Humphries tells PEOPLE. \u201cThere\u2019s one verse [Proverbs 31: 10-31] about the perfect godly woman,\u201d he explains. \u201cThe other, [1 John 3:18] is about love. It took me \u2026 a few days to pick them out and research the perfect ones.\u201d In the middle of the two passages is a third inscription, \u201cK [hearts] K,\u201d standing, of course, for Kris and Kim. Before proposing, Humphries sought guidance from one of Kardashian\u2019s closest friends, publicist Jonathan Cheban. \u201cI know all her girlfriends but he\u2019s her only guy friend,\u201d the basketball star says. \u201cI wanted to ask him what he thought. A while ago, I called him and told him, \u2018I have to do this, I have to propose, I want to do this now!\u2019\u201d But he held out. \u201cI was going to do it on a vacation we took but the timing wasn\u2019t right,\u201d he explains. \u201c[So when] Kim was in Miami doing a QVC thing \u2026 Jonathan came to L.A. and we just hung out and talked about [the proposal].
