Pius Anyim Pius as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).<\/p>\n<p>So have some Enugu residents who described the appointment as a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Nduka Eya, Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo on Tuesday in Enugu said\u00a0 that Anyim was a reliable person, who would exercise his duties effectively.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, appointing Anyim as SGF will reduce the marginalisation of the Igbos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe in Igboland are happy because the man that has been named his antecedent shows that he is a great Igbo man apart from being a great Nigerian.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen he was president of the senate, you saw his antecedents, firm, fair-minded and steadfast. I am sure that Mr President has not done a bad choice.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The secretary-general said that the Igbos supported the leadership of President Jonathan stressing, that he (Jonathan) would not be disappointed.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, urged Anyim to ensure that the Igbos were fully represented.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe must ensure that Ndigbo gets their due share, make sure that he gives others their own due share.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not asking him to go there and become parochial, show them that Ndigbo are true Nigerians.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Mr Paul Ndibe, an Enugu-based civil servant said that Anyim was a genuine person and that it was his ingenuity that made him scale through, in the midst of so many others.<\/p>\n<p>Another Enugu resident, Mrs Adaora Ekoh, told NAN that she was happy at the calibre of people that the president appointed.<\/p>\n<p>She said appointments made so far would impact positively on the present administration.
