DJ Campbell<\/a> has admitted the lure of the Premier League may see him leave the club this summer following the Seasiders\u2019 relegation.<\/p>\nCampbell signed a permanent deal with the club in August after a successful loan spell from Leicester in their promotion season, and the former Birmingham man repaid the faith shown in him by Ian Holloway with 13 goals this season.<\/p>\n
The striker admitted he had settled in well in the North West and relegation had been a bitter disappointment for him and after such a prolific season he revealed a desire to remain in the Premier League next season, signalling a potential transfer away from the club.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love Blackpool and we had a better season than many people expected but to go down was heartbreaking,\u201d he told The Blackpool Gazette<\/em>.<\/p>\n\u201cI played in the Prem before with Birmingham, and maybe I wasn\u2019t ready then. But this time I was.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s nothing like playing at Old Trafford, Anfield and Stamford Bridge. Now I want more of it. I think I\u2019ve proved I can play at the top.\u201d<\/p>\n
However Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is a huge fan of the striker and is hopeful he can persuade him to remain at Bloomfield Road and help fire the club back into the top flight at the first attempt.<\/p>\n
\u201cDJ is a terrific striker and at times he is unplayable,\u201d Holloway said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt goes without saying I want him here next season, because I believe he can score goals at any level.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis movement is second to none, and the way he works for the team in such a selfless manner is great. He is also a cracking lad and the kind of person you want in a dressing room.\u201d<\/p>\n
