Photo by Wumi Akinola and Lamidi Bamidele.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He also said that the state owned Radio and Televisions which were renamed Gateway Radio and Gateway Television should revert to their names as Ogun State Radio and Ogun State Television.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing crowd which had prominent persons including former Governor Olusegun Osoba, former Ekiti State Governor; Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Deputy Governor of Osun State, wife of late Chief MKO Abiola; Chief Bisi Abiola and several others in attendance that he would ensure that justice prevail in the state.<\/p>\n<p>He said \u201c69 of our core supporters were killed in the cause of the struggle for democracy in Ogun State. Others who were lucky to escape being killed were seriously maimed leading to several weeks of hospitalization and in some cases permanent disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI promise you that if only for the sake of these fallen heroes, I am determined to serve the people of Ogun State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur administration will therefore do everything humanly possible to bring the perpetrators of these dastardly acts to justice\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In announcing the free education programme, Governor Amosun said \u201cillegal fees and levies in both primary and secondary schools are abolished. Any reported violation of this order will be appropriately sanctioned\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Governor who was dressed in white with an Aso Oke agbada which he said passed down to by his grandfather to his father in 1941 and that his father in turn passed it down to him about 41 years ago said that henceforth Health Care delivery would be free for pregnant women and children from conception to age five.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing tremendous applause from the crowd, Amosun paid tribute to the late Olabisi Onabanjo, former Governor Olusegun Osoba, Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN]; Chief Bisi Akande and the former Governor of Lagos State; Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their contribution to the state and democratic governance<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Comments are moderated.
