Florent Malouda<\/a> has backed the potential arrival of Guus Hiddink<\/a> at Chelsea<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

Following Carlo Ancelotti\u2019s sacking after defeat to Everton on the final day of the season, the club have been in search of a new manager.<\/p>\n

Hiddink has been strongly linked with the role following his successful four-month spell in 2009, which ended with Chelsea winning the FA Cup.<\/p>\n

Malouda believes Hiddink would be welcome back at Stamford Bridge and insists the Dutchman has the ability to guide the club to silverware after a barren season.<\/p>\n

“I have a lot of respect for him,” Malouda told\u00a0Sky Sports News<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“When he came we were in a difficult situation in terms of results.<\/p>\n

“He brought back confidence I think. He improved our game and led us in the Champions League and FA Cup.<\/p>\n

“He put the club back on the right way. It was short term. It was really quick, but it was really intense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Malouda is happy the club is taking their time regarding the appointment and is confident the right decision will be made.<\/p>\n

“You have to take your time to make the right choices and that is what the board is doing.<\/p>\n

“I think we have a strong squad and when you want to add ingredient to the squad to have to take your time.”
