While he will be spending the weekend speeding around in his McLaren formula one car today yesterday Jenson Button’s transportation of choice was a love boat.

The racing car driver and his stunning girlfriend Jessica Michibata were seen stepping into a small speedboat in Le Meridien Beach Plaza in Monaco.

Jenson acted the perfect gentleman getting into the vessel ahead of his girl and helping her into the boat.

"Cute

Cute couple: Jenson Button and his girlfriend Jessica Michibata were seen at the Le Meridien Beach Plaza in Monaco

And who could blame him with such a gorgeous girl on his arm and the Japanese model, 26, looked stunning in a white knitted off the shoulder dress which clung to her enviable figure.

Meanwhile Jensen was in his racing gear as the pair headed off towards a yacht moored in the bay.

Later in the evening the British formula one star had dressed up and was looking dapper in a light grey suit, a crisp white shirt and a neatly knotted tie.

Good looking pair: The formula One driver and his Japanese model girlfriend were seen hand in hand as they made their way to a little speed boat

The couple had left the paddock for the evening following previews to the Grand Prix event held at the Monte Carlo circuit before heading on to a Hugo Boss event.

Jessica is supporting her beau at the event and posted pictures of herself with his helmet to her Twitter page. She said: ‘Hey guys, this is JB’s special helmet for the Monaco GP to show we’re still thinking of the Japanese people.’

"What

What a gent: The racing driver got into the boat first and helped his lady into the little speedboat before cruising off to a yacht

"Cosy

Cosy ride: The couple cuddled up together at the front of the boat

Speaking of tomorrow Grand Prix race Jensen said: ‘I love this race, absolutely love it. And it’s such a special race that, if you win, you have to enjoy it.’

And speaking about his girlfriend Jensen told The Gaurdian : ‘ I feel that’s it’s about having good people around you. And Jessica has been fantastic. When she’s at races or not at races she’s so supportive.’

Button and Michibata briefly split in May 2010 after 18 months together because he was struggling to maintain their long distance relationship.

"Water

Water transport: Jenson and Jessica take in the view as they head off to a yacht in the bay

But after time apart, it appeared the couple missed each other and reconciled two months later and have been loved up ever since.

Button is so in love with her, he has a tattoo of her name in Japanese written on his chest.

"Looking

Looking dapper: Later in the evening Jenson was spotted in a smart grey suit a crisp white shirt and a striped tie as they left the paddock following previews for the Grand Prix

"Good

Good support: Jenson pictured with Lewis Hamilton has said that his girlfriend is a great support at race time

He previously dated model Florence Brudenell-Bruce for 18 months before splitting in January 2008.

Jensen was engaged to Fame Academy contestant and actress Louise Griffiths before the ended their five year relationship in May 2005.
