With Memorial Day weekend being the official kick-off to summer, what better way to get the party season started than with celebrity jams?

JaKissa Taylor, a New York-based master of turntables also known as DJ Kiss, has spun for the likes of Madonna and Diddy – and if her taste in music is good enough for A-listers, why not our own parties? Here are her top picks for PEOPLE.com readers.

Whether it’s lounging poolside or sweating on the dance floor of a nightclub, your summer playlist is set!

• “Second Chance,” Peter Bjorn and John: “This song is so fun! It sounds like a 2011 indie version of the Beach Boys. Perfect to listen to on your ipod at the Beach!” Listen here.

• “The Edge of Glory,” Lady Gaga: “My favorite song off of Lady Gaga’s new album! An epic sounding record that reminds me of great summer songs of the ’80s.” Listen here.

• “Give Me Everything (Tonight),” Pitbull Feat. Ne-Yo: “You can’t have summer without a new Pitbull record! He makes people feel good and want to dance!” Listen here.

• “Save The World,” Swedish House Mafia: “Incredible and uplifting song that’s perfect for summer! And the video is hilarious!” Listen here.

• “I’m On One,” DJ Khaled Feat. Drake, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne: “With 4 of the biggest hip-hop artists on the planet on one record, you know this song is going to be HUGE in nightclubs this summer.” Listen here.

• “New Beat,” Toro y Moi: “Great indie pop record for the summer. The beat is so funky!” Listen here.

• “What a Feeling,” Alex Guadino Feat. Kelly Rowland: “I love Kelly Rowland on a great house track! Great to listen to riding in a convertible with the top down on a beautiful summer day.” Listen here.

• “Party Rock Anthem,” LMFAO: “This just sounds like summer and gets all the party rockers on the dance floor! It’s summer and like the song says, ‘Everybody just have a good time.'” Listen here.

• “Super Bass,” Nicki Minaj: “Girls have been requesting this song left and right! Such a catchy record!” Listen here.

• “Till The World Ends,” Britney Spears: “It’s Britney and she’s back to make summer just a little bit sexier for all the ladies!” Listen here.

As for a classic bonus track, DJ Kiss recommends “Summertime,” by Dj Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince which “sums up summer perfectly,” she says. “It’s my No. 1 favorite summer song of all time.” Listen here.
