The EC declared Mr Ezrom Alenyo (Ind) winner, but he failed to swear in because he was dragged to court by Robert Okumu (NRM), over allegations of irregularities in the elections.<\/p>\n<p>In Zombo, the LC5 chairman, Mr Emmy Kakura, said there was need to improve the roads to promote trade, and fight poverty through lobbying NGOs and government to institute district programmes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need to work on good governance and involve multiple ideas so that we develop the young district,&#8221; he said. In Arua Municipality, the Mayor, Mr Charles Asiki, said he would work on improving sanitation and expansion of River Oli Division health centre.<\/p>\n<p>The voters are now waiting to see whether the district leaders will live to their oath. Mr George Candiga, a resident in Arua, said he would like to see improvement in provision of water and power in the district.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For over 20 years, we have been facing inadequate power. But I think the new leaders should lobby hard ,&#8221; he said.
