BENIN \u2013 A CHIEFTAIN of the Edo State Chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Prince John\u00a0 Mayaki, yesterday, in Benin City, berated the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,\u00a0 for blackmailing the state governor, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, over the sack of two Commissioners from the Esan extraction.<\/p>\n

Edo North ACN chieftain,\u00a0 in a statement, said the recent campaign of calumny against the govoernor was misplaced, noting that it was an attempt to whip up ethnic sentiments against the\u00a0 governor.<\/p>\n

The statement read \u201cI read an article in the papers recently titled, \u2018Oshiomhole\u2019s ethnic cleansing in Edo\u2019 by one Okheredia Ihimekpen, a known PDP chieftain and another by one Sufuyan Ojiefo, titled Edo Central polls, between Oshiomhole and Hedonism, where they attempted in vain to instigate the peace loving people of Edo Central Senatorial District against the personality of\u00a0 Governor Oshiomhole.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
