Julius Ugonwu was convicted for criminal breach of trust and cheating, offences contrary to Sections 322 and 312 of the Penal Code.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Abdullahi Adamu informed the court that on May 16, the complainant, Aregbesola Adeseye, reported to the police that he gave the accused N200,500 to deposit in a\u00a0 bank account but he converted it into his personal use.<\/p>\n<p>When the charges were read to the accused, he pleaded guilty and told the court that con men duped him of the money.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate Vera Torkura sentenced him to two months imprisonment or to pay N2,000 as fine.
