Controversial, tell-it-as-it-is hiplife artiste, Kwaw \u2018Abodam\u2019 Kesse has waded into controversial waters again revealing that Asem of Give Me Blow fame is the worst hiplife\/hip hop artiste in Ghana today.<\/p>\n
Kwaw Kesse was a guest on Kasahare, Adom FM\u2019s rap show which seeks to unearth fresh talent when he was asked by host, Pope Skinny who in his opinion the \u2018wackiest\u2019 hiplifer in Ghana was.<\/p>\n
Although he was initially hesitant because according to him he did not want to stir a hornet\u2019s nest, Kwaw later replied that he would give Asem the title based not only on his songs but about his personality in total. <\/p>\n
According to the \u2018Abodam\u2019 man, although they are not friends he really respected Asem for his positive portrayal of and his seeming respect for women in his songs until he heard that he had allegedly raped a young girl and that was a huge turn off for him.<\/p>\n
Asem, known in real life as Nana Wiafe Asante Mensah has been in the media recently for all the wrong reasons. He has been accused of drugging and defiling a minor, who is a first-year student at the Achimota School in Accra.<\/p>\n
According to reports, he is alleged to have lured the girl, who claimed she is a huge fan of his, to his Achimota home and had sex with her while she was intoxicated from a drug he allegedly put in her drink. Asem has come out to deny all the allegations and the case is being investigated by the police. <\/p>\n
But Kwaw Kesse said if it is true, Asem\u2019s conduct is a disgrace to all Ghanaian musicians and should be frowned upon by all well meaning Ghanaians.<\/p>\n
Kwaw also used the opportunity to give a preview of his latest album titled \u2018Popping\u2019 which will be released soon. The title track features promising hiplife artiste Daddy Opanka and Kwaw explains that he chose to rap along with the young man because he believes Opanka is one of the few artistes who are holding up the flag of hiplife in the face of the Nigerian invasion.<\/p>\n
He said he had come back to turn the tables around and together with the few genuine hiplifers, rescue hiplife from people he describes as talentless and are selling their birthright to the Nigerian counterparts on a silver platter. <\/p>\n
