Harry Redknapp<\/a> has confirmed Jonathan Woodgate<\/a> may not be a Tottenham<\/a> player next season.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old has suffered an injury-hit two years, playing only once this season as a second half substitute as Spurs beat AC Milan in the Champions League last 16 first leg.

Goal.com UK<\/strong> exclusively revealed<\/a> earlier this week that Woodgate could be one of two defenders set to leave the club in the summer, along with Sebastien Bassong, and Redknapp has said the former Leeds United man may not be offered a contract extension when his deal expires.<\/p>\n

“His contract is up and he hasn’t played for two years,” The Spurs manager said.<\/p>\n

Redknapp believes Woodgate is still one of the finest defenders in the game though, and is still a player potentially worth another club taking a risk on.<\/p>\n

He added: “If we don’t keep him then he is worth a gamble for someone on a pay-as-you-play deal because if you can get him fit you will have one of the best centre-halves anywhere.<\/p>\n

“If I wasn’t at Tottenham I would take a gamble on him. He could be a fantastic signing because he is training this morning Friday and he feels fit for the first time in two years.”<\/p>\n

Spurs defender Ledley King has also struggled with a groin problem this season – along with his knee complaint – but made a return to the first XI in the 2-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield last Sunday.<\/p>\n
