The Committee For Relevant Art, CORA, in collaboration with the iREP Documentary Film Forum is organising an Art stampede to brainstorm on the new trend in Nollywood.<\/p>\n

Scheduled for Sunday, May 22, at the Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos, the Stampede is to interrogate the emerging trend in Nollywood through an interactive public forum .<\/p>\n

The forum, according to the orgainsers, will assemble producers cum directors of such new narratives as \u201cFigurine\u201d, \u201cThrough the Glass\u201d, \u201cReloaded\u201d, \u201cTango With Me\u201d, \u201cIje\u2019, \u2018Inale\u201d, \u201cTenant\u2019, \u201cBent Arrows\u201d, \u201cChampion of our Times\u2019, and \u201cBursting Loose.\u201d Others are \u201cHolding Hope\u2019, \u201cPrivate Storm\u201d, \u201cJungle Ride\u201d, \u201cIn America\u201d, \u201cAnchor Baby\u201d, \u201cMirror Boy\u201d, \u201cAlero\u2019s Symphony\u201d, \u201cLilies of the Ghetto\u201d and \u201cThe Child.\u201d\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Many of these producers have affirmed the readiness to participate in this all-important discussion designed to examine the current challenges and prospects of the Nollywood industry, and pointing the way to a brighter and even more promising future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are obviously works that have helped to shape and re-define movie-making in Nollywood\u201d, says CORA\u2019s spokesman Ayo Arigbabu.<\/p>\n

\u201c We intend to engage those behind these works in an intellectually engaging and stimulating dialogue that will help us appreciate the new bend that Nollywood is negotiating\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
