The Adom Praiz 2010 musical concert was nominated for Best Contribution to African Gospel Music.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Africa Gospel Music Awards (AGMA)<\/strong> nominated Adom FM business unit, packaged a five-hour revolutionary international gospel show in November last year that was headlined by American gospel music legend, Cece Winans, as part of its 10th anniversary celebration.<\/p>\n The show was innovative and full of excitement; Ghanaian gospel music lovers got the thrill of their lives at the second edition of what has now become an annual gospel music fiesta. It paraded a galaxy of big names in Ghanaian Gospel Music and left hardly any cold limbs in the filled-up auditorium of the Dome at the Accra International Conference Centre.<\/p>\n The expectations had been rather high, given that an earlier date for the event fell through, and a huge doubt had hung over organisers, Adom FM’s ability to pull this through; a challenge made more daunting by the mid-week fixing.<\/p>\n In the end the musicians themselves joined in as their other colleagues performed on stage, and everyone stayed till the very last minute of the night.<\/p>\n It was the second edition of Adom Praiz and, for an event with a humble beginning; it was beyond measure to see the gospel concert bring many into the shelter of the Almighty, the many who had nothing on their minds but seeking the face of their maker and also to thank him for his countless blessings.<\/p>\n Adom Praiz received the nomination alongside 24 other Ghanaian music artistes. They include UK based Sonnie Badu, Cecilia Marfo, No Tribe, Nii Okai and others who had over 25 nominations in different categories of the awards. <\/p>\n According to organisers, the AGMA \u201cis aimed at celebrating and awarding excellence in the gospel music industry for the people of Africa and Africans in the Diaspora,\u201d adding that, \u201cit is also to celebrate the work of the sector; to showcase the talent, innovation and success of our gospel artistes.\u201d<\/p>\n In all, there are 20 awards, covering the whole range of musical activities which comprises singing, promotion, media and projects.<\/p>\n Sonnie Badu and No Tribe lead the pack with four nominations each.
