Tony Pulis<\/a> will make a \u00a39 million bid West Ham United<\/a> striker Carlton Cole<\/a> as his side prepare for European football next season, according to The Sun<\/em>.<\/p>\n

By reaching the FA Cup final, Stoke have qualified for the Europa League but are said to be on the lookout for players to boost their squad.<\/p>\n

And with West Ham having already been relegated, their big name players such as Cole are already being targeted, with Newcastle supposedly also being interested in the striker.<\/p>\n

“We need to bring in more quality over the summer because we want to give it our best shot in Europe,\u201d Pulis told reporters.<\/p>\n

“The chairman will make sure everything is sensible but we want to bring in better players.
\u00a0
“Our aim is to keep progressing. Hopefully, we can add to what we’ve already got.”<\/p>\n

The paper, who report that Pulis is also interested in Cole\u2019s team-mates Jack Collinson and Mark Noble, believe that Stoke will put in a \u00a39m bid for the England striker as they look to replace the injured Ricardo Fuller and Mama Sidibe.<\/p>\n

The Potters have struggled for goals at times this season, with top scorer Kenwyne Jones having only hit the back of the net nine times in the league.<\/p>\n

However, Cole, who has seven England caps, has only scored five times in 35 appearances this season.<\/p>\n

Cole joined the Hammers from Chelsea in July 2006 and has gone on to score 42 goals in 165 appearances for the club.<\/p>\n
