\"\"<\/a>Mr Alexander Freeman Asare, Project Officer of HIV\/AIDS Prevention through Education, a project being implemented in the New Juaben Municipality, expressed worry about the way and manner film writers and producers are portraying sex in their movies of late.<\/p>\n

He noted that most movies that children watch currently portray sex and obscenity.<\/p>\n

Mr Asare, who was speaking at the HAPE Project Collaborators meeting to review the project activity work plan for this year, in Koforidua in on Thursday, said if children are allowed to watch movies portraying sex, they might practice pre-marital sex and other social vices.<\/p>\n

He appealed to film makers to produce more educative movies and reduce the production of movies that portray sex and obscenity.<\/p>\n

Ms Rose Nani, Nurse Counselor at the Ghana Health Service at the New Juaben Municipal Health Directorate, warned the youth against HIV\/AIDS, saying that even though the rate of prevalence was reducing in the Municipality, there was no known cure to the disease.<\/p>\n

She said 2010 statistics on the disease revealed that out of 239 HIV\/AIDS infected persons in the area, 107 were the youth between 15 to 39 years.<\/p>\n

Ms Nani asked pregnant women to test for HIV\/AIDS to prevent their babies from getting HIV\/AIDS.<\/p>\n
