{"id":427217,"date":"2011-05-19T23:19:00","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T23:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/05\/19\/swimming-association-fixes-date-for-national\/"},"modified":"2011-05-19T23:19:00","modified_gmt":"2011-05-19T23:19:00","slug":"swimming-association-fixes-date-for-national","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/05\/19\/swimming-association-fixes-date-for-national\/","title":{"rendered":"Swimming Association Fixes Date for National"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"24.8817848818\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizen.co.tz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Citizen<\/a> (Dar\u00a0es\u00a0Salaam)<\/p>\n<p>Fadhil Iddy<\/p>\n<p>19 May 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>The National Swimming Championship, the biggest event this season, will take place on June 4 and 5 at the Heaven of Peace Academy, Kunduchi.<\/p>\n<p>Tanzania Swimming Association (TSA) technical director Marcelino Ngalioma said preparations for the event were in place adding that it would also involve swimmers who are undergoing training abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Ngalioma voiced optimism of obtaining the best athletes for the forthcoming international tournaments. &#8220;Everything is going according to the plan, it&#8217;s our hope that the championship will be competitive given the preparations of the swimmers,&#8221; he said. The director added: &#8220;We have some tough international tournaments ahead, so we&#8217;ll use this competition to pick the best ones.&#8221; The swimmers who are abroad include: Gouri Kotecha (Kenya) Magdalena Moshi (Australia) and Khalid Rushaka (Uganda).<\/p>\n<p>Other leading local swimmers primed for success at the June championship are: Omari Abdallah (Zanzibar), Nasoro Nasoro (Zanzibar), Adam Kitururu (Dar es Salaam) and Hilal Hilal (Dar es Salaam).
