Shows Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"17.7961044343\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nairobistar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nairobi Star<\/a> (Nairobi)<\/p>\n<p>Solomon Kirimi<\/p>\n<p>20 May 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>A man claiming to be the biological father of the late Olympic marathon champion Samuel Wanjiru has finally emerged.<\/p>\n<p>50 year Elijah Chebon, claims he fathered from a friendship with his mother Ann Wanjiru in Nanyuki town 26 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Chebon, says he lost contact with Ann when he was transferred from Nanyuki to Isiolo town unaware that she was carrying his child.<\/p>\n<p>He now works in Kabarnet town with the Ministry of Local Government.<\/p>\n<p>He says in 2008 when Wanjiru won the Olympics he discovered that the athlete could be his son.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Peter Kimani Kirihinya, 65, of Kiambaa told journalists he was the athlete&#8217;s stepfather.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<fieldset>\n<legend align=\"center\"><strong>More News on allAfrica.com<\/strong><\/legend>\n<\/fieldset>\n<p>AllAfrica &#8211;
