Avram Grant<\/a> was given everything he needed to keep West Ham<\/a> in the Premier League<\/a>, according to vice-chairman Karren Brady.<\/p>\n

Amid suggestions by the Israeli that he was undermined due to approaches for his replacement midway through the season, Brady says no stone was left unturned in giving the former manager all that he needed to ensure the side avoided relegation.<\/p>\n

“A good man, Avram was given every chance but he was sadly unable to deliver,\u201d Brady told The Sun.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAvram was given the best possible conditions to do the job. There were no silly targets set, no talk of Europe. We just said: ‘Keep us up’.<\/p>\n

“He was given extra training-ground staff and his personal needs met – including a driver, a new office and an upgraded expensive football analysis system.<\/p>\n

“When things got tough, we backed him again.<\/p>\n

“January signings like Wayne Bridge, Robbie Keane and Demba Ba saw us put our money where our mouth is. Again, no big names left the Boleyn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grant was sacked as West Ham manager within hours of their relegation from the Premier League on Sunday.<\/p>\n
