{"id":426452,"date":"2011-05-19T01:21:42","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T01:21:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/05\/19\/nqobizitha-ndlovu-buried\/"},"modified":"2011-05-19T01:21:42","modified_gmt":"2011-05-19T01:21:42","slug":"nqobizitha-ndlovu-buried","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/05\/19\/nqobizitha-ndlovu-buried\/","title":{"rendered":"Nqobizitha Ndlovu Buried"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"46.2944\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.herald.co.zw\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/allafrica.com\/img\/static\/publishers\/minibanners\/herald180.jpg\" alt=\"The Herald (Harare)\" title=\"Visit The Herald (Harare)\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Noel Munzambwa<\/p>\n<p>18 May 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Gweru \u2014 SILO United and former Dynamos youth attacking midfielder, Nqobizitha Ndlovu, who collapsed and died during a Division One match at Rutendo on Sunday, was buried at his rural home in Nkayi yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Ndlovu (21), collapsed in the 55th minute as he was about to take a free kick, and was pronounced dead on admission at Kwekwe General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>It has since been established he was asthmatic.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, Zifa Central Region chairman Pat-rick Hokonya joined the mourners as his league declared that all weekend matches observe a minute of silence.<\/p>\n<p>The region also sent a message of condolence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On Sunday 15th March 2011 we lost a Silo United player during the match between Rutendo Stars FC And Silo United FC.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are saddened by this death and all the members of staff, executive and the entire football fraternity join the family in mourning the sad departure of Nqobizita Ndlovu.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;May all the clubs observe a minute of silent in all the matches in memory of our dear departed comrade.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;May his soul rest in peace,&#8221; read the letter signed by the Zifa Central Region administrator, Gift Nyapomwe.<\/p>\n<p>A few years ago, a Blue Swallows player died during a match at Manyame while Marc-Vivien Fo\u00e9, of Cameroon, also collapsed and died in Lyon on June 26, 2003, during a Fifa Confederations Cup tie.<\/p>\n<p>A third-tier league Ghanaian footballer Michael Dzigbodzi Agormor Junior died during a league match on May 1 at the Tema Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The True Democracy player went for a tackle against Royal Anderlecht player and remained motionless afterwards, the Ghana Sports Newspaper reported early this month.<\/p>\n<p>The medical team was not equipped with the necessary first aid only poured iced water on him and fanned him with his jersey but he did not respond.
