\nThe Paramount Chief of the Lower Dixcove Traditional area in the Western Region, Nana Kwesi Agyeman, yesterday incurred the wrath of some of his colleagues, when he veered off the prepared speech he was reading on behalf of the Regional House of Chiefs, and ventured into the internal politics of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/p>\n
Some of the chiefs who were not happy with the development told this reporter that they would initiate moves to sanction the chief when the house meets the next time to consider other matters.<\/p>\n
According to them, the speech was specially drafted, and that Nana Kwesi Agyeman should not have introduced politics into it.<\/p>\n
‘We had a reason why we drafted the speech, so why should you deviate and introduce your own political speech. He has to answer for this,’ one of chiefs told The Chronicle. In his speech, Nana Agyeman told the President not to worry about the internal wragglings going on in his party, and that victory awaits him in the end.<\/p>\n
‘Don’t be scared in what is happening in your party,’ Nana Kwesi Agyemang, on behalf of the chiefs in the region, assured the President. According to Nana Kwesi Agyemang, the victory of President Mills was a divine intervention, and as such, the President should not be scared of what was happening in his party.<\/p>\n
He concluded: ‘Whoever falls on God for directions will not be disgraced,’ referring to the President.<\/p>\n
Responding, President Mills said whatever God had sanctioned always ends successfully.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
