\"\"<\/a>President John Evans Atta Mills on Tuesday commissioned an electrification project at Anlo Beach near Takoradi as part of his three-day official visit to the Western Region.<\/p>\n

In a short speech, he thanked the people in the area for supporting the National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/p>\n

President Mills said the government had lined up other development projects for the area.<\/p>\n

Mr Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, Deputy Minister for Energy, said about 336 communities in the region had been hooked to the national grid since November 2009.<\/p>\n

Earlier, President Mills had inspected the progress of work on some educational projects at the Sekondi College.<\/p>\n
