A two-day Leadership in Quality Convention to honour Global Corporate Leaders for showcasing their implementation of the Total Quality Management Model which pursues the improvement of management strategies and the correct use of communication in the whole management process as a way of reinforcing leadership has been held in the French capital Paris.<\/p>\n
The annual award , the International Star for Leadership in Quality, is given to companies in the medium, large and some listed in the globally acknowledged fortune Global 500, who have demonstrated excellence in leadership within each designated sector of operations, such as business achievements and perseverance in leadership and excellence, in accordance with the QC100 criteria.<\/p>\n
Capital O2 Natural Health Company from Ghana was honoured among 178 others for their proven commitment to quality and continuous quest for excellence towards customers through attention to products and services. Capital O2\u2019s flagship product, \u2018Living Bitters\u2019 won the International Star for Leadership in Quality Award in the Gold Category.<\/p>\n
The Ghanaian natural health company was one of only five from Africa honored at the 15th edition of this annual global awards ceremony.<\/p>\n
Other companies honoured in the Platinum and Diamond Categories, included India Oil Corporation, the only Indian company listed as a Fortune 500; UES of Russia, a company that provides 70 percent of Russia\u2019s electric power, and Turner Construction, the American company which constructed the world\u2019s tallest building (the Burj Khalifa) in Dubai.<\/p>\n
The awards were instituted 15 years ago by Business Initiative Directions (BID). Award winning companies are selected based on the jury system, with juries in over 178 countries. The analysis and evaluation of the nominations and selection of companies are carried out by BID\u2019s International Committee.<\/p>\n
Mr John Daniel Otoo, founder and CEO of Ghana\u2019s Capital O2, pledged their continued commitment to quality and innovation. He told the audience gathered at the Banqueting Hall of the famous Concorde LaFayette Hotel that the only way to show continued commitment to quality was through investment in research and development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
