{"id":425416,"date":"2011-05-17T07:13:55","date_gmt":"2011-05-17T07:13:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/05\/17\/medo-kamara-scoops-serbian-cup-medal\/"},"modified":"2011-05-17T07:13:55","modified_gmt":"2011-05-17T07:13:55","slug":"medo-kamara-scoops-serbian-cup-medal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/05\/17\/medo-kamara-scoops-serbian-cup-medal\/","title":{"rendered":"Medo Kamara Scoops Serbian Cup Medal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"29.9477006312\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Concord Times (Freetown)<\/p>\n<p>16 May 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Freetown \u2014 Sierra Leone international midfielder, Mohamed &#8216;Medo&#8217; Kamara became the latest Sierra Leonean footballer in Europe to scoop silverware this season after helping his side, Partizan Belgrade to lift their 61st Serbian Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Medo&#8217;s Belgrade side was crowned champions after defeating Vojvodina 2-1 in the grand final. It was the midfielder&#8217;s first silverware since joining the Serbian champions in August 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year old midfielder played the entire match at the Stadion Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade and was very instrumental helping his side to attain success. However, it was Ghanaian striker, Prince Tagoe and Serbian Zvonimir Vukic&#8217;s goals in the 17th and 71st minute respectively that gave Belgrade the victory.<\/p>\n<p>It was a sweet revenge for Partizan as they lost their two meetings in this season&#8217;s Serbian League to Vojvodina.
