He may have had a successful career for over 20 years but Gary Barlow has revealed that he always wants more.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 40-year-old Take That singer – who is currently leading the X Factor judging panel – compared himself to Elton John as she explained that seeking fame is a feeling that never goes away.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘We\u2019re chasing the buzz. It\u2019s a little drug,’ he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

‘And I think once you\u2019ve tasted it, especially once you\u2019ve tasted it a number of times, you never want to lose it. It\u2019ll annoy my wife for years, that, but there you go.’<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking to Esquire magazine, the father-of-three opened up about his life in the spotlight and stated that he doesn’t take it for granted.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

‘There\u2019s one thing I know about fame – it doesn\u2019t last forever.’<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking smart in black trousers, shiny shoes and a glitzy sequined blazer, the pop star was certainly trying out a new look and seemed to like it as he draped himself at a piano and posed with a microphone.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barlow, who currently has one remaining
\nact on the X Factor in the form of Marcus Collins, also revealed that he
\nstill hasn’t learned how to have fun on the ITV show.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘I\u2019ve got to get my head around the pressure,’ he said. ‘And learn to enjoy it, but it\u2019s so intense. <\/span><\/p>\n

‘All those people out there watching every move you make and analysing it and talking to their friends about it and Tweeting and gossiping I think at this point the reason I\u2019m not particularly enjoying it is I don\u2019t feel I\u2019m in control of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘Maybe I\u2019ll never feel like that. It\u2019s a totally bloody new thing for me.’<\/span><\/p>\n

But it’s not just the X Factor that is
\nunpredictable to the star as he stated that his boy band can’t guarantee
\na specific future either.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘I quite like the idea of Take That being a moving target,’ he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘Are we a five? Are we a four? Oh, no, it\u2019s three! Gary\u2019s dead.’<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately things with Barlow haven’t always been so humorous as he recently admitted to an ongoing battle with his weight.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘Food\u2019s been my enemy all my life. I\u2019ve been at war with food because I\u2019ve always loved it and it\u2019s always made me feel guilty and I\u2019ve always starved myself,’ he stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘I\u2019ve never eaten a mouthful of food for probably 20 years, and not thought, “I shouldn\u2019t be eating this.”‘<\/span><\/p>\n

But the problem escalated for Barlow and he also opened up about the negative relationship that he’s had with himself in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘It\u2019s one thing to loath yourself in your head, but then to look in the mirror and loath yourself physically \u2013 where do you go?’ he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘At least hate yourself and look good. Or look sh*t and feel great. But to have both, it\u2019s a double whammy.’<\/span><\/p>\n

These days Barlow is looking confident as an X Factor judge and is no doubt pinning all is hopes on Collins scooping the prize in just over a week’s time. <\/span><\/p>\n
