The International Criminal Court, ICC, \u00a0Chief Prosecutor\u00a0Luis Moreno-Ocampo has confirmed he had requested an arrest warrant for\u00a0the embattled Libyan leader, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, his son Saif and\u00a0\u00a0brother-in-law for crimes against humanity<\/p>\n

\u00a0At\u00a0an ICC press conference,\u00a0 at The Hague , Netherlands, Luis Moreno-Ocampo said, the evidence shows Muammar Gaddafi personally ordered attacks on unarmed civilians.<\/p>\n

Ochampo said Gaddafi attacked civilians in their homes, used heavy weaponry on funeral processions, placed snipers to kill those leaving mosques.<\/p>\n

According to Ocampo, \u201cGaddafi\u2019s second-eldest son, Said el-Islam, is a de facto prime minister. And Abdullah Senussi is his right hand man, executioner.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe office has asked for arrest warrants against Muammar Gaddafi, Saif el-Islam and Abdullah Senussi.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201dThe office was able to gather direct evidence about orders issued by Muammar Gaddafi himself.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00a0We will now continue to investigate allegations of rape, killing of sub-Saharan Africans considered as mercenaries, and war crimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
