\"\"<\/a>The Exams Ethics International Ghana, at the close of a regional workshop in Ho on Thursday, has issued a 12-point communiqu\u00e9 appealing for collaboration among stakeholders in human resource development in the sanitization of conduct of exams in the country.<\/p>\n

The workshop on the theme Exam Ethics: a Prerequisite for Competent Human Resource Development was attended by school heads and educators from across the region.<\/p>\n

The communiqu\u00e9 signed by Kofi Ashiboe-Mensah, Country Director Exams Ethics Ghana, recommended the incorporation of exam ethics into the \u201creligious and moral education curriculum at all levels of our educational system\u201d and clubs formed in all schools.<\/p>\n

It also called for the strengthening of institutional structures to ensure the \u201ceffective administration of the examination process\u201d.<\/p>\n

The communiqu\u00e9 demanded that rules governing the examination process should be applied firmly without fear or favour.<\/p>\n

It also touched on evaluation of the scholarship system, asking that the educational system should \u201cde-emphasize the craving for certification at the expense of meritorious and performance learning through the continuous assessment\u201d.<\/p>\n

The communiqu\u00e9 advised that \u201cthe Inspectorate Division of the Ghana Education Service (GES) must be autonomous and independent to facilitate the inspection of the teaching and the learning process in our schools\u201d.<\/p>\n

It also said that educational reforms should be \u201cstrategic and stable to eliminate systemic failures\u201d.<\/p>\n

Issues discussed during the three-day seminar include harnessing talents through ethical practices in the Basic and High Schools, the responsibility of the media in facilitating competent Human resource development and using cotemporary security systems and intelligent surveillance to combat examination malpractices.<\/p>\n
