Tottenham<\/a> manager Harry Redknapp<\/a> has revealed that he\u00a0wants to add a striker to his team for next season if they are to continue to compete with the Premier League<\/a> top four.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following on from Goal.com\u2019s exclusive<\/a> which revealed Redknapp went to the French Cup final Saturday night to scout Mamadou Sakho among others, the Spurs boss has stated that he wants to add at least two more players to his team before the start of the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told reporters: \u201cI\u2019m looking for a good front man if I can find one. I went to the cup final in France last night and I\u2019m going to go abroad one or two times this week and keep following up leads and see what we come up with.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very difficult to come up with something better than you\u2019ve already got.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Redknapp also rues the fact that he didn\u2019t get the chance to strengthen his squad in January despite enquiring for a number of players.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI think we could have improved in January, we just needed a little tweak just to liven us up a little bit but that happens and hopefully we can get one or two in the summer now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Redknapp feels that it is a necessity for Spurs to strengthen their squad for next season if they are to continue to challenge for the top-four positions in the league.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt\u2019s going to be hard next year. There are six teams all going for it and Man United are certainties, Chelsea are certainties.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMan City will be there I suppose because they\u2019re going to spend another hundred million and you\u2019ve got to fancy Arsenal because they\u2019ve been there every single year.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLiverpool are a great team with great tradition so it\u2019s going to be tougher.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
