ABAKALIKI \u2013 A group of\u00a0 professionals, under the aegis of South East League of Professionals, SLP, weekend, endorsed the position of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, allotted to the zone by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, saying the offer was huge opportunity for Ndigbo to occupy the Presidency in future.<\/p>\n

In a statement by Mr. Larry Onah and Dr. Chijioke Eleazar Nwandikom, National Coordinator and Secretary, respectively, the group said it decided to endorse the position of SGF as zoned to the South-East after exhaustive deliberations, explaining that the position presaged \u201ca giant leap for Ndigbo in their march towards occupying the Presidency in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n

SLP said the current dynamics of politics in Nigeria, which flew from the outcome of the recent general election, \u201cmake it imperative that all true patriots should encourage consensus building and work for the unity of the country so that the nation could witness political stability and growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
