Newly crowned Premier League<\/a> winners Manchester United<\/a> will hold a victory parade on the streets of Manchester on May 30th after clinching their 19th title after a 1-1 at Blackburn Rovers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An open-top bus will give fans the chance to join in the celebrations with the players when the parade gets underway at lunchtime.<\/p>\n

With the parade coming just two days after the Champions League final, United fans will be hoping for a double celebration as their side look to add a fourth European trophy to their domestic title.<\/p>\n

Chief executive David Gill revealed the club have been inundated with requests from fans to hold a parade after the club failed to in 2008 when United won the double.<\/p>\n

“Breaking the record of league title wins is a big day in the club’s illustrious history,” he said.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

“We have received many letters and e-mails from fans encouraging us to hold a public celebration of that achievement and we believe this is a fitting way to mark it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Sir Richard Leese, leader of Manchester City Council, said: “Manchester United winning their 19th top flight title is a remarkable and historic achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We’re sure fans will come out in their droves to celebrate and acclaim their heroes and that 30 May will be a memorable day for the whole city.”<\/span><\/p>\n
