Yola \u2013 The Election Petitions tribunal sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has received three petitions over the conduct of\u00a0\u00a0the National Assembly elections held in April.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sources at the tribunal told Vanguard that the petitions were field by Former Governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa State and Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN senatorial candidate for Adamawa North.<\/p>\n

The source also disclosed that the defeated PDP House of Representatives candidate for Mubi North\/Mubi South\/Maiha, Sajoh Ahmed Gella and Mr. Piton Power, ACN candidate for Numan\/Demsa \/Lamurde Federal constituency also lodged their complaints before the tribunal.<\/p>\n

According to the source, the three-man\u00a0tribunal has since commenced preliminary sitting.<\/p>\n

It added that public sitting of the tribunal is expected to commence next week.<\/p>\n

The three\u2013member Tribunal is headed by Justice C.O Ohawe with A.C\u00a0 Achigbom and C.H Ahuchagbu as members while J.O Fashoranti is the secretary of the tribunal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
