WARRI \u2013 GOVERNOR Emmanuel Uduaghan\u00a0 commissioned four legacy projects of the Warri south council Chairman, Mr. Mofe Edema and commended him for a job well done as proof of his stewardship to the peoples of the council area.<\/p>\n

The projects include the a new Administrative Complex for the \u201cA\u2019 Division Police Station, Warri, which was build at the cost of N32 million naira; the Legislative Complex in the Warri South Secretariat which was also build at the cost of N35 million naira.<\/p>\n

The others are the King George V Centenary Hall build at the cost of N66 million naira and the rehabilitation of the Merogun Primary School, Iyara, all in the oil city..<\/p>\n

In his key note address at the occasion Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan who said police must not continue to remain in colonial buildings expressed his profound gratitude to the Warri South Local government Council Chairman, Mr. Mofe Edema for carrying out all these projects to completion, adding that though the council has the largest number of primary schools in the state, the council boss has been able to commissioned about 85 projects during his tenure.<\/p>\n

The Governor also called on the council workers to maintain the projects the chairman has put in place saying that without imbibing the maintenance culture the projects will be ruined.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a council we call zero allocation council because by the time you pay primary school teachers from the allocation that comes from Abuja what is left is always zero.<\/p>\n

Out of zero allocation he has been able to squeeze water out of stone and I want to bless God for his life\u201d, the Governor said.<\/p>\n

He also thanked the council chairman for commissioning these projects at the same day he was bowing out of the office, thanking the council workers who he said are very important in the process of any administration and without them the council boss would not have achieved all that he has achieved during his tenure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
