South Africa’s Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane says they are taking tomorrow’s friendly match against Taifa Stars seriously.The South Africans were due in Dar es Salaam last night for the match to be held at the National Stadium under the floodlights.<\/p>\n

Mosimane, who flew into the city yesterday morning, described Taifa Stars as one of the ‘tough teams’ on the continent.”Personally, I’ve much respect for Taifa Stars, they are a good side. I’m optimistic the friendly will give us the experience we need ahead of our Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt,” he said shortly after arrival at the Julius Nyerere International Airport.<\/p>\n

He said his respect for Stars stems from the fact that they are among the serious contenders for a place in the 2012 finals from Group D.”If you may recall, they are the only team that has so far beaten Central Africa Republic in the group,” he said.<\/p>\n

He added: “I know that they will be under pressure because they don’t want to let down their home fans, but we’ll never dare underrate them.”Stars have been camping in the city since early this week, getting set for what promises to be a gripping match.<\/p>\n

For Jan Poulsen’s men, tomorrow’s match will be part of their preparations for next month’s away Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic.But they are unfortunate not to have on board striker Idrissa Rajab, who plays for Sofapaka FC in Kenya.<\/p>\n

Norway’s-based midfielder Henry Joseph, one of the overseas-based players recalled last week by the coach, is among those missing at the Stars camp.<\/p>\n
