That is the day the Argentina team would depart from Buenos Aires for Nigeria, so naturally, you wouldn&#8217;t expect those two players to be on the trip.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Argentina team has a new coach, in the person of Sergio Batista, and is preparing for the Copa America taking place in July, and which that country is hosting. Therefore, you would expect that the new Coach would want to blood a number of new players and see if they can fit into this tactics and team plans. That is why there are a number of new players in the team.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But the Argentina list that I have seen is replete with &#8216;A&#8217; team players who ply their trade in top leagues in Spain, Portugal, Italy, England, Russia, Ukraine and the like. We are assuring that Argentina would present its very best possible, apart from Messi and Mascherano who are obviously out due to the Champions League final.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We must continue to commend Guinness for bringing this match here and should not do anything to disparage the game in the build or discourage the company. Come Wednesday, June 1, both Nigeria and Argentina would present &#8216;A&#8217; teams to play this high-profile game&#8221;, said Amadu.<\/p>\n<p>Also yesterday, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) denied releasing the team list for the June 1 friendly match.<\/p>\n<p>The purported list has excluded Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez, Di Maria, Gonzalo Higuain and Diego Milito but AFA representative, Hernan Tofoni said that his association is yet to make public the list of players for the match.<\/p>\n<p>Hernan said that AFA accepted invitation to be part of the Guinness the Match based on the respect they have for Nigeria and the match is important to their build-up for the Copa America.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nigeria and Argentina are two great football nations with great people who have great passion for the games,&#8221; Hernan said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We can&#8217;t afford to be complacent because we have beaten Nigeria three times in the past. The Eagles are a great team and they are playing at home. Argentina is number five in the world right now so we have to play with our best players. They will be supported by the massive crowd and we don&#8217;t want to let our fans down.
