{"id":422669,"date":"2011-05-12T07:58:59","date_gmt":"2011-05-12T07:58:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/05\/12\/ghana-tourist-board-principal-legal-officer-jobs\/"},"modified":"2011-05-12T07:58:59","modified_gmt":"2011-05-12T07:58:59","slug":"ghana-tourist-board-principal-legal-officer-jobs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/05\/12\/ghana-tourist-board-principal-legal-officer-jobs\/","title":{"rendered":"Ghana Tourist Board: Principal Legal Officer Jobs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"53.4665523156\">\n<div readability=\"40.3253285002\">\n<div readability=\"14.7037701975\">\n<p><em>The <a href=\"http:\/\/joblistghana.com\/tag\/ghana-tourist-board\" rel=\"tag\" title=\"Posts tagged with Ghana Tourist Board\">Ghana Tourist Board<\/a>, a government organization, set up to regulate and control the Tourism Industry is seeking a resourceful, results-oriented and team player for the position.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective(s) of the position:<br \/><\/strong>Ensure that adequate preparations are made for the Board of Directors meetings and that legal responsibilities and obligations of the Board are efficiently and effectively fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares agenda and working papers for regular and special Board of Director\u2019s meetings<\/li>\n<li>Advises Board of Directors on likely legal effects of its decisions<\/li>\n<li>Drafts all legal documents for the Board<\/li>\n<li>Studies, signs and seals contractual agreements between individuals or groups of person and the Board<\/li>\n<li>Advises the Board as to its legal rights and obligations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the Board of Director\u2019s directives are properly communicated to appropriate departmental heads<\/li>\n<li>Advise management on all legal matters referred to him<\/li>\n<li>Handles all legal contentions and represents the Board at law courts with assistance of external Solicitor<\/li>\n<li>Perform other <a title=\"job\" href=\"http:\/\/joblistghana.com\">job<\/a> functions which may be assigned from time to time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div readability=\"7\">\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The ideal Candidate must possess LLB degree<\/li>\n<li>Must have enrolled as a Lawyer in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Must have a minimum of six (6) years.
