Asiimwe<\/p>\n<p>9 May 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Kigali \u2014 Prime Minister, Bernard Makuza, yesterday attended the swearing-in ceremony of the President of Djibouti, Ismael Omar Guelleh.<\/p>\n<p>Makuza represented President Paul Kagame at the ceremony held in the Djibouti Palace Kempinski Hotel, where he delivered the latter&#8217;s message.<\/p>\n<p>Guelleh was sworn-in to rule the country for a third term following last month&#8217;s election that he won by an 80 percent landslide majority.<\/p>\n<p>Makuza also met with the Rwanda Diaspora in Djibouti.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the Premier noted that the government had initiated programmes to enhance Rwanda&#8217;s economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the Diaspora to be &#8220;hardworking, preserve dignity and values and serve the interests of Rwandans.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was also attended by Joseph Nsengimana, Rwanda&#8217;s Ambassador to Djibouti who is resident in neighbouring Ethiopia.<\/p>\n<p>Makuza was also shown a 20 hectare piece of land at the Djibouti Port, which the Government of Djibouti offered to Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>The piece of land to be developed by the Rwanda Private Sector Federation (PSF) will act as a transit point for Rwandan imports and exports.<\/p>\n<p>The premier later met with his counterpart, Dileita Mohamed Dileita with whom he discussed bilateral matters.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<fieldset>\n<legend align=\"center\"><strong>More News on allAfrica.com<\/strong><\/legend>\n<\/fieldset>\n<p>AllAfrica &#8211; All the Time<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Excerpt from:<br \/>\n<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/allafrica.com\/stories\/201105100244.html\" title=\"Makuza Attends Djibouti President's Swearing-in\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Makuza Attends Djibouti President&#8217;s Swearing-in<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> Bosco R.
