Mancienne, 23, was part of Wolves’ Championship-winning side back in 2008\/09 but he believes avoiding relegation this campaign would surpass that achievement.<\/p>\n
He added: “All I know is staying up would definitely top winning promotion because of the pressure on us.<\/p>\n
“Everyone was expecting us to go down but hopefully we can prove them all wrong.”<\/p>\n
The former England under-21 international played in the vital 3-1 win over West Brom at the weekend, which saw them move one point clear of the relegation zone with only two matches left, but Mancienne believes more needs to be done to ensure safety.<\/p>\n
He added: “We’re out of the bottom three but I don’t think we’ve got enough points to be safe.<\/p>\n
“We’ve got to take what we did on Sunday into the next game and keep going. We can’t take our foot off the pedal.”<\/p>\n
Mancienne, whose contract at Stamford Bridge runs until June 2013, has recently returned from injury and is enjoying playing in his favoured role in the centre of defence.<\/p>\n
“It feels good to be back involved, especially after winning a game,” he said. “I’m really happy.<\/p>\n
“I’m really enjoying it again because I’m playing in the position I came here for.<\/p>\n
“Playing alongside Jody Craddock is a massive help as well. He’s a big character and he’s a great defender.”<\/p>\n
Wolves travel to Sunderland on Saturday before hosting fellow strugglers Blackburn on the final day of the season.<\/p>\n
