That&#8217;s why Fifa employs a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to any infringement of these values.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Match fixing has also blighted European football in recent years with Uefa investigating seven games in 2009 involving the Champions League and the Europa League, previously known as the Uefa Cup.<\/p>\n<p>The same year German prosecutors revealed they were probing possible match-fixing at about 200 games.<\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Italian clubs Juventus, Fiorentina, Lazio and AC Milan were all implicated in a match-fixing scandal.
