Mashonda<\/strong>, one of the stars of VH1’s<\/em> “Love & Hip Hop” has announced that she won’t be returning for season two. She cites the show’s negative aspects (e.g. drama and fights) as her main reasons for moving on. Hear what she has to say inside….<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fans of Mashonda won’t be seeing her on any reality tv shows next season, as she vents her frustration with how “Love & Hip-Hop” turned out.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0new interview with Hip Hop\u00a0Weekly\u00a0Magazine<\/a>, Mashonda said she agreed to do the show because she imagined it would be a platform of empowerment for sisters.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

As she was going through a very public divorce and lifestyle change with ex-husband Swizz Beatz<\/strong>, Mashonda thought her struggles could inspire women like Emily B<\/strong> (Fabolous<\/strong>‘ baby momma) and other\u00a0women in similar\u00a0situations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI really honestly did do the show to help Emily and help women across the United States, to let them know that you\u2019re not the only one that can go through something like this divorce and heartbreak.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And she knew about the possible backlash going\u00a0into it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cNo matter what I say, it\u2019s going to be judged at the hundredth power, people are just going to look at me and judge. People are going to say I\u2019m too emotional, or I need to get over it, or I need to move on, I\u2019m bitter. A lot of people were actually saying\u00a0(I) was strong, (I) made it out classy, (I) did everything (I) could, but when you do a show, you have to know what\u2019s coming next, a world full of judgment.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But when she saw the show’s final product…She was not happy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI just don\u2019t feel like at this point in my life, Love and Hip Hop represents who I am, it\u2019s just a chapter that is over.\u00a0\u00a0When I shot the show, I thought that it was going to be like more of a sisterhood, but when I saw a lot of the drama and the beef, I was a little surprised, I was like wow, okay, I didn\u2019t know this was going to be apart of what this is.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sadly….that’s the way most reality shows tend to be.\u00a0 There are some good moments but most shows play up the drama and negative aspects of the characters’ lives.\u00a0 But Mashonda fans can expect big things in the future.\u00a0 She told the mag that she is\u00a0working on new music and\u00a0plans to have all creative control.\u00a0 She describes it as\u00a0being passionate and soulful, \u201cI\u2019m in a lane, that no one is touching is in right now.”<\/em>\u00a0 She also drop a hint about a self-help book\/memoir, \u201cIt\u2019s not a tell all, I have a few surprises though.”<\/em><\/p>\n
