The Senatorial candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, in Delta North Senatorial District, Mr Jude Azekwoh, has petitioned the Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Attahiru Jega, praying that he should be declared the winner of the election conducted into the Senate on the April 9, 2011.<\/p>\n

He also said that he remains the validly nominated DPP senatorial candidate for Delta North Senatorial District and not Mr Ned Nwoko,\u00a0 adding that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa\u2019s name was not submitted by his party within the stipulated time to INEC.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cI have chosen to petition Prof. Jega to ensure that justice is\u00a0 done in respect of the National Assembly elections for the Senatorial seat, conducted on April 9, 2011 as I am the DPP candidate, who\u00a0 stood for elections and as such, I am conversant with everything that happened before, during and after the elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
