Sirius XM<\/em>.<\/p>\n\u201cEveryone has acknowledged how great a team Barcelona are but Manchester United are in this final with some players who can cause any team a lot of bother.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe’ve got attacking players who can hopefully cause Barcelona the problems everyone thinks they are going to give us. Hopefully it is going to be a fantastic final.”<\/p>\n
And the Scot spoke of his pride at his team\u2019s performances this season which he believes will give Pep Guardiola plenty to think about in the build up to the final on May 28.<\/p>\n
“Everyone has said this is not a good Manchester United team, that we are not this or that. But we have scored more goals than anyone else,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur home form has been magnificent. We are undefeated in Europe. We are in the Champions League final and we will win the league by getting one more point.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou have to put all the criticism to one side because I have to be realistic when I look at my team and ask, ‘Am I satisfied?’ I think the players have given me everything. They have given the club everything.”<\/p>\n
Ferguson\u2019s side were beaten 2-0 in Rome in 2009 after goals from Samuel Eto’o and Lionel Messi but the Scot insists his sider were unfortunate not to come out on top.<\/p>\n
“In the final last time we started off really well and then gave away a bad goal,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter that Barcelona kept the ball very well, as they always do, but people forget we missed a lot of chances in that match.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven before they scored their second goal we missed three chances.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat we have to do is find a solution to the Xavi-Messi-Iniesta problem. Everyone is searching for that because they are outstanding footballers, but we have our share too.\u201d<\/p>\n
