Blackpool<\/a> manager Ian Holloway<\/a> admitted that he had to step in to break up a row between club captain Charlie Adam<\/a> and DJ Campbell<\/a> on the bus home from Saturday’s game against Tottenham<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The pair were involved in a row on the pitch at White Hart Lane when Campbell wanted to take the team’s second penalty after Adam had seen an effort from the spot moments earlier saved.<\/span><\/p>\n

The skipper would go onto score at the second attempt and Holloway revealed the row did not stop until he intervened on the team bus.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told the Blackpool Gazette<\/em>: “It is a little bit upsetting for me that they care so much they ended up with a little row going on.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I had to sort out a feud on the way home between DJ and Charlie, but that is how much they care.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I actually would have agreed with DJ if they’d asked me. I thought he should have taken it.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But it just shows what Charlie is all about, that he had the bottle to want it straight after missing one.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Holloway preferred to see the positives from the argument rather than lambast the pair for it.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added: “The bottom line is that DJ wanted to win so badly, so did Charlie, and that is what it is all about.<\/span><\/p>\n

“You have to look at what is at stake. We are all so desperate to stay in this wonderful league.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We had some things to say to each other in the dressing room afterwards. Everybody had something to say.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But they have to remember how proud I am of them. Nothing will ever change that, and nothing will ever change how I feel about this place.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
